Halo! Welcome back to my blog. Today, I will introduce about my passion and what I learn a lot from this passion.
I still remember that the opportunity for me to fall in love with reading came in the fourth grade, when a classmate brought in a novel about dreams. It had a title imbued with the essence of freedom: 'I Want to Fly Like a Seagull'.
'I Want to Fly Like a Seagull'
Synopsis
"In Four Winds Harbor, a remote fishing village, the population does not exceed three hundred households.
One day, with a simple "It's not your turn yet," Dad brought Hao Ran from the big city to Four Winds Harbor, where he stayed with his grandfather. Every day, Hao Ran went to the new school with a cold face. He hated the run-down school, the dirty classmates, and the piles of cow dung on the road... He had had enough, he was determined to leave this cursed place!
Zi Cheng, who grew up in Four Winds Harbor, is kind and cheerful, and everyone loves her. Zi Cheng wants to stay in Four Winds Harbor for the rest of her life, but her mother hopes she will go to the city to study. Later, she learned from Teacher Lin that her late father also hoped she would leave Four Winds Harbor. She was suddenly caught in a dilemma...
Hao Ran and Zi Cheng, who come from completely different backgrounds, later became good friends. How did they become friends? Will Hao Ran, who gradually adapts to village life, eventually want to leave? And will Zi Cheng, who has never left Four Winds Harbor, also spread her wings and fly out of Four Winds Harbor?
"I Want to Fly Like a Seagull" tells a story of pure friendship in a fishing village, as well as the perseverance and pursuit of dreams by two people from different backgrounds."
I learn a lot from this story :
1. Friendship: The importance of friendship is emphasized as characters from various backgrounds create a deep bond despite their differences. It demonstrates that genuine connections may cross societal boundaries. It also gives me more confidence to meet new people. Making new friends also facilitates the development of new contacts, and connections are an integral aspect of being a business student later in life.
2. Pursuing Your Dreams: The story underscores the importance of chasing one's dreams, despite encountering obstacles and adversity. It inspires us to cling to our ideals and exert diligent effort to actualize them. It serves as a reminder not to easily surrender and continually encourages me to persist in the pursuit of my dreams, especially when facing academic challenges.
3. Adaptability: Characters like Hao Ran exemplify the significance of adaptability and resilience in confronting unfamiliar circumstances or obstacles. They showcase the capacity to adapt and flourish in novel environments. I gleaned from this narrative the importance of striving to adapt to new surroundings rather than expecting them to conform to us. Furthermore, cultivating high adaptability enables us to learn to effectively relax and perform better in stressful educational settings. Particularly in the field of Business Administration, possessing robust resilience is indispensable in withstanding pressure.
4. Self-Discovery: Through their journey, the protagonists undergo personal growth and self-discovery. They gain insights into themselves, recognizing their strengths and aspirations, which in turn shape their identities and futures. The capacity for self-discovery is also a crucial skill for future business administration students. Moreover, understanding one's own abilities or those of fellow team members can streamline task completion, making it more efficient and effective.
